I love interior design and decorating. As a kid growing up, I would often say I wanted to be an interior decorator when I got older, despite not really knowing what that meant. I have memories of my mom taking me to Mother’s Day Decorator Showcase homes in our area, and always being fascinated by how people styled their homes. I’d say now my interior design style is traditional and classic, with modern elements. For example, I prefer more traditional looking furniture, but love modern art. I think layers are key and adding textures and colors is a fun way to switch things up. However, I always strive to buy furniture that I can see us using in different areas of our home, or for years to come. Now that I am a homeowner myself, it has been so fun to slowly decorate our house and turn it into a home that we can love and enjoy to the fullest.

That said, interior design and decor is often NOT cheap, and up until more recently, affordable retailers items did not always look as visually appealing as the more expensive designer items (in my opinion). However! I’ve been noticing Target step up their game lately, which makes me SUPER excited. I recently did a roundup of Target lamps over on my LTK page, that many of you seemed to enjoy, so I figured I’d try branching out beyond lamps and share other Target home items I love.
