Bedside Table Essentials

Bedside Table Essentials

Is it strange, that I always love seeing what people keep on their bedside tables? I think it says a lot about a person, and their routine in general. Before we owned our house, and lived with roommates, my bedside table used to be cluttered and full of supplements, etc, since I didn’t have anywhere else to store them. Now, I’ve made an effort to only keep the essentials that I use on a daily basis on my bedside table. A cluttered space=a cluttered mind, and when I’m in bed, SLEEP is obviously critical.

This type of post might be wildly uninteresting to some of you, but I think it’s fun to share. Hope you enjoy these goodies…and I would love to hear what you keep on your bedside table! Here is a link to the bedside tables we have! They’re a great smaller option, as we had less space for huge side tables.

Hand Lotion: The hand lotions I keep on the bedside table really vary, especially during seasonally. But applying hand cream right before bed in the winter months is absolutely necessary for me, since my hands are always so so dry! Currently I have this ever-popular Weleda Skin Food doubling as an ultra-rich hand cream on my nightstand, as well as a Beautycounter hand cream. Options are key, people!

Essential Oil Rollers: I am pretty obsessed with essential oil rollers, so much so that they’re scattered throughout my home for easy access! However, the bedside table essential oil rollers do not change, as they’re a big part of my evening routine. My most favorite essential oil roller is my Now Foods Lavender Roller. I put this on my wrists every night before bed, and I swear it helps lull me to sleep! The smell is amazing. I also love to keep a Young Living Thieves roller next to our bed. When I feel like I am getting a cold or just feel off, I roll Thieves on the bottom of my feet. Little woowoo for some, but I think it helps fend off colds.

Apple Watch Charging Stand: My Apple watch is one of my favorite purchases of all time. It has been a game changer for my fitness routine, and I can’t imagine not having one now after 4 years with it. That being said, the charger the watches come with are not very exciting, and I loved the idea of having mine on a stand. This stand is small and minimal, which I love. Plus it’s under $15 so its super affordable.

A Good Book: I love having a book on my bedside table. During quarantine, I am trying to make myself read more, and have been loving the past few books I’ve read. I’ll link my recent favorites below!

Lip Products: I am always dealing with chapped lips in the winter, but I make sure to apply a balm to my lips every night before going to bed. I have been using the Cocokind MyMatcha stick for over 5 years, and it will be a fav forever. I love how long the tubes last.

CBD Oil: I have approximately 6 CBD oils on my nightstand at any given time. I am trying to be better about taking CBD oil regularly, to help reduce the feelings of anxiety and daily stress. I’m currently using Equilibria CBD oil and/or Healist Gummies!

Blue Light Blocking Glasses: Honestly, I’d be lying if I said I wore my blue light blockers religiously. I tend to forget to wear them. BUT I am trying to be better about wearing them, especially before going to bed when I feel the urge to be on my phone. I love these from Caddis, and they can also double as reading glasses if you need a little magnification.

Rescue Remedy: If you suffer from anxiety or restlessness (especially at night), I’d definitely recommend checking out Bach Flower Remedies Rescue Remedy. I’ve been a fan of this product since I was a kid! Check out this blog post for more info.

Casper Glow Lamp: I have talked about this glow lamp from Casper numerous times, but 2 years later, I am still obsessed! It provides the perfect light to allow me to read, without keeping Yale awake. It also acts as a nightlight or alarm by waking you up gently, mimicking the sunrise.

Yales bedside table is always more organized and minimalistic than mine.
