Pregnancy: Baby Items We've Registered For

Strollers, Carriers & Transportation:
Uppababy Vista: The Vista was my number one baby item, because I have heard such great things about it. I love that it has a bassinet, and can eventually accommodate up to 3 children. It seemed pretty user friendly, and has great reviews online. We opted for the Emmett (green) color to be a little different, and I think it is SO pretty.
Doona Stroller/Carseat: So many friends said the Doona was a must! It’s great because it is super light and compact, and acts as both a stroller and car seat. We are only registering for one car seat because the baby can use the Doona for months and months. It seemed highly functional for our family.
Uppababy Mesa: I had a hard time deciding what car seat to get, but ultimately went with the Mesa. I like that the Mesa won’t require adaptors, since it is an Uppababy product and can directly attach to our Vista. Eventually, he will grow out of the Mesa and we will need a bigger car seat, but hoping we are happy with this decision.
BabyBjorn Carrier: The BabyBjorn carrier seems like a classic for a reason. I am excited to use this to take baby on walks.
Solly Baby Wrap: I was torn on whether I needed the Solly baby wrap, but ultimately my friend Sally said it was worth it, since baby won’t fit into the Babybjorn right away. Hopefully I’ll be able to figure out how to use it!
Baby Gear:
BabyBjorn Bouncer: When I polled my audience on Instagram for must-have baby items, this was probably number one. I think this will live upstairs as a place to put baby down when I am showering/need my hands free for a few minutes.
Freshly Picked Diaper Backpack: So excited about this diaper bag. It is super cute (hands free!), and doesn’t scream “BABY!”. A lot of people seem to love this bag, which made it a no-brainer for me.
SlumberPod: Several people said the Slumberpod is great for traveling with a baby, because it basically acts as a blackout tent for them to sleep. I think this will be useful when we are at our house in Delaware over the summer, since none of the bedrooms have blackout curtains. It’s often sold out which I am interpreting as a crowd pleaser.
4Moms Mamaroo: Ok, I am still semi apprehensive to have this item on our registry, since it is such a polarizing item. A lot of people said their baby either LOVED it or they absolutely hated it, and it was a waste of space and money. I am hoping baby boy will enjoy it, but we shall see.
Loveevery Play Kits: These play kits came recommended by every new mom I know. Can’t wait to see what the hype is about!
Nursery:
Jenny Lind Spindle Crib: We purchased this crib ourselves, but I wanted to include it on this list since I love it so much. It is so beautiful, classic and works for a baby boy or girl. It truly is the centerpiece of our nursery.
Buggaboo Stardust Play Yard & Bassinet: I had a hard time deciding what I wanted to do on the bassinet front, and ultimately went with a play yard with a bassinet attachment. This concept seemed to be the best bang for your buck option, and I felt like we’d get the most use out of the products by registering for this all-in-one type system. Instead of doing something like the Halo bassinet (which baby can only be in for a few months), he will be able to use the play yard for years to come.
Infant Optix Baby Monitor: There are so many baby monitors on the market. Almost too many. I decided to go with the Infant Optix because it was highly recommended by so many of you, and I like that it doesn’t use wifi. I have insomnia so the idea of checking my phone in the middle of the night to see if baby was ok didn’t appeal to me. I prefer the fact that this monitor comes with its own base and I can check that, rather than rely on my phone.
Uppababy Bassinet Stand: We hope to use this bassinet stand in our bedroom or on our first floor as a place for us to park baby in the Uppababy bassinet for naps/sleep.
Newton Mattress: We were very kindly gifted the Newton mattress for baby’s nursery, and I am SO excited about it. I hear it is such a wonderful product, and gives new parents peace of mind. It is the only 100% breathable and washable crib mattress on the market. Click the link above for $50 off your mattress.
Feeding:
4Moms High Chair: The high chair was another item I had a hard time deciding on. I went with the 4Moms because it came highly recommended by friends.
Bumbo Seat: The Bumbo seat seems like an awesome seating option for when baby is a little bigger and can sit up on his own. Great for feeding and just chilling!
Spectra S1 Breast Pump: I am planning to order my breast pump from insurance, but wanted to share the pump I chose. I’ve heard mixed reviews on the cordless pumps, and wanted to go with a classic. Our lactation consultant recommended this one, as did friends.
Haaka Milk Catcher: I think every new mom registers for a Haaka, so I had to do the same.
Comotomo Bottles: Bottles are another item on the baby market that seems to come with many opinions. I simply went with these because friends recommended them and I prefer the look and material of these. We’ll see how baby likes them.
Other:
Baby Book: I love the idea of keeping a baby book to document baby’s big milestones. This one is so sweet and comes in a bunch of colors.
Magnetic Me Onesies: Everyone says these are great for middle of the night diaper changes!
Sleepsuits: I’ve registered for a ton of sleepers and sleep suits. I’ve heard great things about the Halo sleep sacks and Merlin suit. TBD on what baby will prefer!
Muslin Burp Cloths: I am all about soft fabrics, and purchased several packs of these from Amazon.
