THM Holiday Gift Guides 2020
I cannot believe I am already thinking about gift guides in October, but it does feel like we’re all eager for the holiday season to start this year. I honestly love seeing what others put on their gift guides, so I was thrilled when you all said you found gift guides helpful when I sent out a poll on stories a couple weeks ago. It’s taken me a bit to get organized enough to start thinking of gift guides, but here we are! I’m honestly not asking for anything else this year besides a new iPhone, which I desperately need (but definitely don’t want to buy for myself). I always appreciate another pair of my favorite leggings, and socks (because who wants to buy themselves socks?!), but other than that my wish list is pretty small!
I’ve been working away on my 2020 Holiday Gift Guides on Instagram, which has given me plenty of ideas for the gift guides! So, without further ado, here are my 2020 Holiday Gift Guides! Enjoy!!
Stocking-Stuffers
On-the-Go Travel Laundry Kit: The Laundress makes the best laundry-related products. The detergents and sprays smell UNREAL. This Travel Pack would make the perfect stocking stuffer.
Monogrammed Soy Candle: How fun is this soy candle? Pop this in the bottom of a stocking, and you’ll be sure to have a happy recipient! I am a sucker for a monogram!
Storm Cloud: I’ve seen these things on TikTok and was very intrigued. These little clouds have crystals inside that change with the weather patterns. Pretty cool!
Good Scents Hand Trio: Have several stockings to fill? Pop one of these hand creams in each! Or gift the trio! Would also make a great ladies White Elephant gift!
Cote Mani On-The-Go Set: How cute is this non-toxic manicure set from Cote? A great stocking-stuffer in my opinion!
Corpus Naturals Deodorant Samplers: I was recently sent Corpus’s set of Mini’s, which is a sample of each of their fabulous scents. First of all, I’ve never smelled such beautiful fragrances, let alone deodorant fragrances! My favorites so far are The Botanist, California, and Third Rose. Corpus allows you to customize a trio of minis for $32. These would make the best stocking stuffers. Break up a set or gift a trio! Best of all, the deodorant actually works and is a gel consistency which applies beautifully.
Beauty Lover
Himalayan Salt Scrub Detox Shampoo: This shampoo was one of my favorite purchases/discoveries of 2020. Goop kindly sent it to me in a PR kit, which initially made me raise my eyebrows. A scalp scrub? Huh?? But, after giving it a try I UNDERSTOOD the hype. This leaves your hair fresh, voluminous and SO CLEAN with a rich lather. I’ll buy forever as long as they make it! Plus, it lasts for months, since you only use the scrub 1-2x a week! HIGHLY recommend.
Hey Dewy Humidifier: Nothing is worse than having dry skin, which can be exacerbated in the cold winter months. Deal with dry winter skin? Try adding a humidifier. This little one is small enough to sit on your nightstand, but puts moisture back into the room while you sleep!
Skincare Fridge: Can we all agree that a mini fridge for your masks, eye gels, and skincare products is the most extra, yet wonderful gift once can get? This one is a great price too!
Golden Hour All-in-One Palette: This has been my favorite makeup purchase from Beautycounter so far. I absolutely adore every product in this pinky all-in-one palette. The blush is so beautiful and I get so many compliments when I wear it!
Beauty Ritual Masking Set: I love this cute mask prep set, and so will the fellow mask lover in your life. The headband is super useful, and I always use a brush when applying my favorite charcoal mask!
Hostess with the Mostess
Beautiful Tea Towels: As lame as they may seem, a tea towel can make a much appreciated hostess gift. I think a nice tea towel is underrated. We’ve been guilty of having nasty tea towels in our kitchen, but I think it is time to swap to something more attractive like these or these.
Bud Vase: I adore these bud vases (and bud vases in general). I think they make such a wonderful, elegant gift. The star one I’ve linked is a subtle but beautiful option that would look amazing in anyone’s home.
Personalized Decorative Tray: We have decorative trays all over our house. I am obsessed with them because they are functional, look pretty and can show off your personality. They also make great gifts! I love this style for the holidays, and definitely always recommend a monogram or personalizing it in some way!
Fun Coasters: How adorable are these colorful coasters? They come in a variety of different colors, and I think would make an amazing hostess gift. Pick the color that best suits her decor, you cannot go wrong here! Or go for a customized version like these!
Unique Measuring Cups: Here’s what you might be thinking: “measuring cups??? BORING!”. But they certainly don’t have to be. I love these from The Avenue, or these gold and wood ones.
“Happy Holidays” Wine Tote: I love this wine tote for a hostess present. Fill it with a two bottles of wine or champagne, and you’ll be the favorite guest of the night, for sure! Love this price point, you can easily stock up and give them as gifts all season long.
Cozy Quarantine Guide:
Chappywrap Throw Blanket: I’ve seen these blankets all over Instagram, and think they would make a great gift for many of the sections of this guide. They come in a variety of colors and patterns. I’d certainly love to receive one of these this holiday season!
Pom Pom Slippers: These slippers are great because they are under $25! Such an easy, no-brainer gift for a group of girls or a matching ladies Christmas PJs vibe!
Keap Candle: If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve certainly heard me talk about my love of Keap candles. Based out of New York, this candle company puts sustainability at its core. Each candle is made-to-order, meaning they don’t have a surplus of inventory (that could go unsold and create waste). Use my code “HEALTHMASON” for 10% off your subscription order. My favorite scents are Northlands, Wild Figs and Waves.
Lake Pajamas: My holiday gift guides would not be complete without one mention of Lake Pajamas! I’ve written about my love of Lake PJs before, and that love remains unchanged. The quality of Lake’s goods is unmatched, and it will be something your recipient will wear for years to come. I love the shorts sets, robes (this style is new!), and my mom loves their nightgowns! Or, get matching holiday pajamas! You cannot go wrong, trust me. Runs true to size.
Man in Your Life (husband/boyfriend/fiance/brother/friend)
Leather Travel Pouch/Dopp Kit: Yale doesn’t know it yet, but he is getting one of these dopp kits for Christmas. His previous travel bag got so nasty after years of use, it was finally time for it to retire. Now (not that we’re traveling), he is using one of my old Kiehls cosmetic bags…so it is time to upgrade his situation.
YETI Soft Cooler: If your man is a golfer, fisherman, frequents the beach, tailgater, etc, I think a YETI soft cooler is a worthwhile purchase. YETI quality is unmatched, and I feel like any guy is going to be happy yielding a YETI at his next mens golf outing. You can purchase different sizes and shapes too which I think is great. I prefer this zip top, but this one would be great for on the go.
Ballpark Map: Have a baseball fan in your life? Gift them this MLB Ballpark Travelers Map! Such a fun idea!
OV Sunday Short: Yale has 2 pairs of these shorts and absolutely lives in them during the warmer months (and when we were able to go to the gym). They are a thicker material which offers a bit of structure and support, but comfy enough for runs, hikes, gym sessions, or just lounging around. Highly recommend.
Rhone Shirt: Speaking of clothing Yale already owns, he LOVES the Rhone polo I grabbed him from Ruxton Mercantile a few months ago. It is made from performance-based materials, so it is comfortable, breathable but still looks nice. They offer a variety of items and styles; I’d definitely recommend checking them out.
Packing Cubes: Remember when traveling was a thing? Well, it will be again someday (hopefully soon), so plan your next trip with these packing cubes in mind. We brought packing cubes for our trip to New Zealand last year and they were a game changer. Not sure how I lived without them for so long!
Woman in Your Life (wife/girlfriend/fiance/sister/friend)
Recycled Plastic Tote Bag: How ADORABLE is this recycled ocean plastic bag? I have been seeing it pop up more and more on Instagram, and have been tempted by the sage camo bag many times. I’d certainly be happy with this under my tree!
Dry Farm Wines Subscription: I am OBSESSED with Dry Farm Wines! I have actually written a whole blog post on the topic. I think a half or whole case of Dry Farm Wines would make a great Christmas gift for someone who is health-conscious, but still enjoys an adult beverage a few nights a week. If you use this link, you can get an extra bottle for just one penny!
Sheep Inc. Sweater: I am obsessed with my 3 Sheep Inc. Sweaters. I own the Medium weight crew neck in wool white , the V-neck in moss green, and just ordered myself the Cardigan in wool white. These merino wool sweaters are meant to last, so care for them well and you’ll enjoy them for a lifetime!
Jewelry Case: I adore this jewelry case because of its size, shape and the fact that it can be personalized. I am a sucker for personalization, so this would definitely be a welcome present under our /tree!
Dudley Stephens Blanket Scarf: I adore pretty much everything Dudley Stephens produces, and these blanket scarves are no exception. I’d also suggest their turtlenecks, but sizing can be tricky so I think these scarves are a safe bet! The vello fleece is SO soft!
Tasteful Statement Earrings: I love these earrings so much. The mix of gold and pearl is right up my alley, and they are classic enough to wear dressed up or down. Best of all, they’re under $100.
Parents In Your Life (parents/in-laws/grandparents)
North Country Wind Bells: We’re giving one of these bells to my brother-in-law for Christmas. He and his wife have a home in Maine, and these bells are meant to sound like the harbors of popular port cities and towns. Such a great idea for a parent gift or anyone who enjoys the sounds of the lakeside/seaside.
Snack Bowls: How adorable are these artichoke bowls? I think a set of them would make the perfect in-law gift! Get two, one can be used for mixed nuts, the other can be used for dip or pretzels. Plus, they look beautiful on a table!
Softening Hand Duo: This limited-edition hand soap and lotion would make the perfect gift, given how the past year has been! We’re all washing our hands like crazy, but why not have your hand soap look pretty sitting by your sink?! This is one of those gifts that no one wants to buy for themselves, but will certainly appreciate it in their home as a gift. Plus, the glass bottles make recycling a breeze and up the quality of the gift for sure!
Our Place Pan: We have an Our Place Always Pan, and it has been a game changer! They are incredibly popular for a reason! It is an 8-in-1 pan and we use ours every single day. Use my code “THEHEALTHMASON10” for a discount on yours.
BBQ Rub Variety Pack: Dads and Father-in-Laws are not easy to shop for, and while this could go under the Mens gift section (or women’s, for that matter), I felt like it would make a great “parent gift”. Does your dad smoke his own meats or get excited about his Butcher Box delivery (which would make another awesome gift, might I add!)? Pair that excitement with this BBQ rub variety pack and he will be one happy guy!
Custom Home Painting: For my dad for Father’s Day, we gifted him a custom painting of our childhood home that they just sold. He loved it and I framed it with an inexpensive black frame from Amazon. I linked the artist we used.
Dog Lover
Stoneware Bowls: I am dying over how adorable these stoneware bowls are! I think I am going to have to snag one for Buzzy to keep in our bathroom (he prefers any water bowl other than his main drinking bowl…anyone else’s dog do the same!?). I love the charcoal.
Dog Mom Hat: How adorable is this “Dog Mom” hat? I love it so much, might need to gift myself one for my daily walks with Buzzy!
Custom Pet Napkins: I believe these were on my gift guide last year, but we gifted my parents these custom dog napkins for Christmas last year and they were a huge hit! It is a super personalized gift that any pet lover would adore!
Custom Pet Socks: These socks always crack me up. I think they’d make a great sibling or dad gift. Too funny!
