Things I'm Loving: Vol. 1

Starting this segment of the blog as a continuation of my “Favorites” page. Basically a means of sharing random things that I am loving lately. I hope it gives you some inspiration!

Myrtle Topiaries: I’ve been obsessed with myrtle topiaries lately. I love how they look when grouped together in a window. I’ve recently purchased two (one locally from Star Bright Farm, and the other online here), and I am already wanting to get more. We’ve been keeping them in our kitchen window, but I am hoping to keep them outside once the weather starts to get warmer. Growing note: myrtles need lots of water. I water ours every 2-3 days.

White Blouses: I’ve been on a real big white blouse kick lately. I’ve been living in all of my Doen blouses, and I am finding myself falling more and more in love with their designs. I recently purchased the blouse pictured in the image above (sold out). Good white blouses are always in style, so I don’t mind splurging on one here and there. Shop some of my other favorite white blouses for spring below.

AYR Jeans: I can’t stop talking about these jeans. I am madly in love with them. Is that weird? I don’t care. I love that these jeans can have different inseams. Since I’m tall, I opt for the longest inseam, since I don’t love cropped jeans. These fit me true to size and are perfect and comfy for everyday wear. I wear a size 26.

Antique Chairs: I know it sounds weird, but I’ve become obsessed with antique chairs. This love affair probably started when I found two vintage beauties at Luckett’s Store a few weeks ago, but now all I want to do is fill my home with antique accent chairs. They’re all I am pinning and saving on Instagram lately.

Hearne Dry Goods Co. Jewelry: Have you heard of this amazing Nashville-based, female-owned jewelry brand? I was honored when Leigh, the founder of HDG reached out to me a few weeks ago asking if I’d share about her amazing jewelry line. Her mission-based business supports Lwala Community, an organization aimed at empowering women and children in Kenya. Leigh donates a portion of the proceeds from her jewelry sales to this organization, which I absolutely love. Use my code ALLIE10 to get a discount on your purchase. I am loving these earrings (pictured above)!!

“Arriving Home” by James Farmer: I’ve been following @jamestfarmer on Instagram for awhile now, and absolutely adore him (although we’ve never met). His gardening tips are wonderful, I am obsessed with his home designs, and he writes fabulous books. I recently purchased his latest book “Arriving Home”, and have dogeared too many pages to count. He is worth following on Instagram if you’re into gardening and home design.
