Candida-Friendly Turkey Breakfast Patties
Hey friends! Yay! Officially my first recipe of the New Year and new decade! Whaaaat! For those of you who don’t know, I am starting 2020 off by doing a 12-week candida cleanse. I found out last year that I had a lot of bacterial overgrowth in my gut, which caused a whole host of issues! I hope and pray this cleanse helps because I am so determined to feel good! I will be posting a bunch of candida-friendly recipes as well as candida-related blog posts…since this is what I’ll be totally focused on for the next few weeks!
These turkey breakfast patties are super easy to make, and are quite yummy if you you ask me! I hope you enjoy and stay tuned for other gut-friendly recipes to come!
Ingredients:
1 pound organic ground turkey
1/2 cup chopped green onion
1 large egg
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Preparation:
Preheat your oven to 425F.
Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Mix ingredients thoroughly, until well-incorporated.
Using damp hands, form golf ball-sized balls, and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Flatten with moistened fingers to form "patty” shape.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until meat is no longer pink (center should reach a temp of 165F). Flip patties halfway.
