Updated Haircare Routine

Updated Haircare Routine

Hey all! Happy Friday. I have been meaning to share this post for a couple weeks now, and life just kept getting in the way! If you’re like me, you’re probably intrigued to see what beauty products people use in their routines. When it comes to haircare, I am always eager to try new products! Well! There have been a number of products that I have been using for the past couple of months, and I wanted to share them with you!

I also encourage you to take a look at my last haircare post! You may find it helpful, or it may introduce you to some other fun new products. Nonetheless, the post is a few years old, so I figured it was time to update it! I still use a number of those products, including THIS clarifying shampoo, which is the best I’ve found! WORTH the price for sure. Not non-toxic, but it’s all about #balance for me!

Scalp Scrub Shampoo: The scalp scrub shampoo by Goop is my favorite product of the moment. When I initially heard about it via GP’s Instagram, I was confused and honestly thought the idea of a scalp scrub was stupid. Well, now I take that back. Goop so kindly sent me a sample size of the scalp scrub a few months ago, and I was eager to see what the hype was about. You guys. This stuff is insane. First of all, it wasn’t as grainy as I expected. And the scrubby granules that are present in the product dissolve super quickly. It also has an amazing lather which I was not expecting from a “clean” beauty product. I feel like if you have fine/medium hair, or hair that get gets greasy quickly, this product is FOR YOU! My hair feels full and healthy after I use it, and I feel like it stays cleaner much longer. I use this product about once a week.

Odele Shampoo & Conditioner: I’ve been using Odele shampoo and conditioner for a few months now and am really impressed. Their products are free from sulfates, formaldehyde, parabens, dyes, synthetic fragrance, etc. All great ingredients that are non-disruptive to hormones or your health. My favorite is the smoothing line!

Mason Pearson Boar Bristle Brush: Ok, let’s not beat around the bush. This is a luxury purchase for sure. I normally wouldn’t ever spend this much on a brush, but given its long history, and claims to healthify your hair, I was too intrigued not to try. Mason Pearson brushes come in a variety of sizes and bristle types, but I went for the pocket-sized boar bristle brush. What you select depends on your hair type. I only use this when my hair is DRY!

Wet Brush Pro Quick Dry Brush: When my hair is wet, I use this Wet Brush for easy detangling. I love this brush and have been using it for a solid year/ year and a half.

Revlon Dryer and Volumizer: Since I refuse to spend hundreds of dollars on a Dyson hair dryer (as badly as I want one), I wanted to try a less expensive option. While I don’t have the Dyson products to compare it to, I am really obsessed with this Revlon blow dryer. I feel like it gives my hair a beautiful, blown out look, on a budget! Similarly, if my hair is in need of a quick styling, I use this straightening brush that I love!
