Fall 2018 Skincare Favorites
Good afternoon my loves! It’s been a LONG TIME since I’ve written a blog post. Things have been so crazy busy with wedding planning (OMFG IT’S LESS THAN TWO WEEKS AWAY), that I haven’t been putting as much time into my blog as I would like. Things should be back to normal once the wedding is over and we’re back from our minimoon! Until then, I did want to quickly type up some products my skin has been loving recently.
I have the HARDEST time finding natural skincare products that don’t break me out, which is why I don’t post things like this often. I am a total creature of habit (and terrified of stepping outside of my comfort zone), so I usually find a routine that works for me and stick to it. My skin has a much harder time finding natural skincare products that work. It’s frustrating that it always seems like my skin does just FINE with toxic conventional skincare products. I am always searching for the best thing for my skin, but these are some newbies that I’ve been loving lately!
January Labs Restorative Tonic Mist: I have been spritzing this stuff all over my skin like CRAZY! It is a witch hazel-based toner with other skin-benefitting ingredients, and my skin loves this stuff. I am BLOWING through my first bottle, and can’t wait to try more products from this line. Thank you to my friend Jenna for introducing me to this product!!
Derma E Microdermabrasion Scrub: I was given a TINY sample of this at Expo East, and immediately fell in love. I decided to order the full size, and now I’ve been using this physical exfoliant about 2-3 days a week. It has a gorgeous citrus scent, and has a nice texture to really clean your skin. I exfoliate and then follow up with a gentle cleanser to make sure I’ve gotten all of the residue off.
Odacite Aventurine Kiss Serum: So this isn’t exactly “skincare” but your lips are part of your face, and you definitely want them to be well taken care of. My friend Celeste originally introduced me to this amazing product, and I understood the hype right away. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but is well worth the price. Plus, a little bit goes a long way. It provides a nice moisture foundation under lip gloss or balm. I personally apply it every night before bed, under the MyMatcha Stick.
Gunilla of Sweden Lerosett Mask: I’m sure I’ve talked about this product before, but it is my staple face mask. I like to keep this next to my bath tub, and put it on every Sunday night as part of my weekend routine. It can also be used as a face wash or acne spot treatment. I love the versatility of this product.
Primally Pure Complexion Mist in Lavender: I am clearly a fan of spritzing up my skin throughout the day. I keep a variety of facial mists throughout the house, but this one smells like a spa! I love how this brightens up my skin tone, but is gentle enough to use several times a day. Use my code “HEALTHMASON10” for money off your order!
Acure Acne Spot Treatment: This has been my staple spot treatment for months now. I picked this up at my local Whole Foods, but you can find it in many retailers. It is a great low-cost spot treatment that actually works in shrinking the size of pimples.
