Growing & Shifting: The Future of THM
When I originally started my Instagram account, it was solely a place for me to share recipes and inspiring food photos. As I’ve grown and evolved as a human, so has my health and viewpoint on wellness as a whole. To me, “wellness” is so much more than what you put into your body; it is your mental health, physical health, environment, spiritual practices, and more. As we’re still in the beginning of this new year, I am starting to think about where I want to take The Health Mason in the future. I love sharing my life with you, and sharing so much more than the food I was posting consistently up until a few months ago. However, some of the things I started this blog and Instagram account on, are of less and less interest to me (recipe testing/food photography). I am inspired in new ways now, and will continue to shift THM to a wellness and lifestyle account.
I used to ask my followers for permission or their thoughts on these types of shifts in content. And while I love learning what you want to see more of on THM, I’ll be focusing on posting more content that just makes me happy, and less focused on what I “should” be posting. I’ve been struggling with finding where I fit in in the world of social media, and look forward to developing my Wellness & Lifestyle niche. In turn, this lack of belonging, attributes to poor mental health and actually makes me dislike the platform as a whole. I realized it is far more important to me to share content that makes me truly happy, and keeps me feeling inspired, rather than just share the food content that used to flood my account.
Moving forward, you’ll be seeing more home and interior design content, style content, mental health discussions, gut health tips and tricks, clean beauty, and some health food content. I gather my inspiration from so many more things outside of food, and can’t wait to share a new side of THM with you.
Cheers to evolution.
xx,
Allie
